Tina is a non-traditional student and lifelong word-nerd who currently calls the Arkansas Ozarks her home. She can often be found reading up on her favorite topics of anthropology, medicine, and language – or, donning her boxing gloves for a good workout.

Brett Nichols is a reader with a passion for writing. His goal is graduate with a Creative Writing degree and put that to good use

Sophie Calvi

Sophie is the Poetry Editor of Hive Magazine. She is an avid fiction writer but often finds herself writing poetry. She also has a dog who sometimes joins her for writing, but usually it's for the snacks.

Larissa Sprecher, MFA

Larissa Sprecher is the faculty adviser for Hive Avenue and a creative writing faculty member at NWACC. She has an MFA from the University of Arkansas and her passion project is a still ongoing WWII historical fiction novel.
